FAQ
All questions asked were made before release, so some questions may be outdated or untrue.
What is this? A new game? Will it make me feel spooky?
Cane Corp. is an upcoming point-and-click horror game from Jackman Games where you have to make enough money by taking sketchy jobs around the Prouis location in order to fulfill your goal to make it to the top!
Is this Don't Wake Nana 2?
This is not the official sequel to Don't Wake Nana, but there will be some relations between the two titles.
Will there be playtesting available for Cane Corp?
Most likely not. All or most of the playtesting that will be done will be private. Only official devs and specifically chosen people will be able to test early versions of Cane Corp.
When will Cane Corp. be released?
Late 2022. Since the scope for this game is much bigger than Don't Wake Nana's, it is currently unsure when this game will be released exactly.
Can I work on Cane Corp?
There is already a set team working on the game, so you'll most likely not be able to join the development side of Cane Corp. If you would like to give it a shot, you can shoot an email at contact.jackmangames@gmail.com
What engine does Cane Corp. use?
The game itself will run off of Clickteam Fusion 2.5, and all of the 3D visuals will be made using outside software such as Source Filmmaker and Blender. All of the 2D visuals will either be made on paint.net (we're cheap) or on paper.
Does Cane Corp. have an original story?
Yes! Most of the preparation phase for development was just writing the plot and characters for the game. Gameplay aspects were, for the most part. already planned for the game before writing the story.
Will Cane Corp. have an original soundtrack?
Hopefully. If everything goes according to plan, the soundtrack will be written by Jack Brinkman and Zachary Wirth-Post. Jackman Games will try its best to write the best damn soundtrack possible for Cane Corp.
Will there be voice-acting for Cane Corp?
Yes! The whole game will be voice acted by Zachary Wirth-Post and Nathan Brinkman. It is still unknown if there will be more voices required in the future, but if there are, they will be privately selected to do work for it.
Is this the last game for Jackman Games?
No. There is one other collaboration project with someone, but other than that, there are no other horror games planned for development from Jackman Games. There are already plans for a non-horror game, so don't worry; we're not going anywhere.
